Export users and companies

Download customer records as CSV or Excel with the records and columns you need.

Overview

Export users, leads, and companies from the Users directory as CSV or Excel. The export includes all records that match your selected view and search, with the columns you have chosen to display.

You need the View Users permission to export records.

Export your data

  1. Open the Users directory

  2. Choose All users, All leads, All companies, or a saved segment

  3. Use the search box to narrow the records if needed

  4. Click 'Columns' and choose the fields to include. Open 'Visible' to arrange their order

  5. Click 'Import / Export', then select 'Export view as CSV' or 'Export view as Excel'

Featurebase prepares the file and downloads it automatically. Large exports can take several minutes. You can leave the page while the export runs.

Download a recent export

Open Settings → Imports & Exports → Exports of people and companies to check your recent exports. When an export is complete, click 'Download' to download it again.

Files are available for 24 hours after completion. After that, export the view again to create a new file.

FAQs

Company attribute columns use the first company linked to each person, matching the People list. They do not include attributes from every linked company. To export company records, use the All companies view or a company segment.

Excel exports support up to 1M records. Use CSV for larger exports.

Large exports may list records in the order they were added instead of the list’s current sort order. Featurebase shows a note when this happens.

Only one export can run in a Workspace at a time. Wait for it to finish, then start your export.
