Featurebase’s startup program gives eligible early-stage companies access to Featurebase at a significantly discounted rate. You get everything a growing team needs – live chat, help center, feedback collection, product updates, and more – all in one place.

The program includes incremental discounts over your first 3 years, so you can scale at your own pace without high upfront costs. It’s designed to help you grow efficiently and build products your users genuinely love.

Being accessible has always been a core principle of ours. After the discount ends, you’ll always find Featurebase to be more affordable than other alternatives.

Early Stage program benefits

You will be on the Professional plan with a deep discount for first 3 years. Here’s a quick breakdown of what's included in your monthly plan:

You also get 50 free Fibi AI Agent resolutions per month in year 1. Additional resolutions will be charged at list price ($0.29 per AI resolution).

You can't add or reduce the number of seats to lower the cost of your plan, as all 6 seats are included as part of the Early-stage startup program. If you find the costs of Early Stage Year 1 too high, you can switch to the Free or Growth plan starting at $29/seat/month if you choose the annual option.

Eligibility criteria

To apply for the discount, you have to match the eligibility criteria below:

  • Founded less than 2 years ago

  • Fewer than 6 employees

  • Raised less than $3M in funding

  • Haven’t been on a paid Featurebase plan before

  • Must apply within 90 days of sign-up

  • Maximum of 6 seats

The approval process typically takes 1 to 2 business days. If you're approved, you'll be notified via email. It's important to provide accurate information for our team to approve your application.

Once approved, you have 30 days to start your subscription. If you don't activate your subscription within 30 days, the application expires, and reapplication will be required.

Transitioning from the Early Stage program

Before switching plans

Switching from Early Stage to another plan (such as Growth) can affect pricing and seat counts. Keep in mind that per-seat costs can increase - Growth is billed at $37 per seat.

Migration steps

  • Contact Support to remove your Early Stage plan. Your billing page won’t show new plan options until removal is confirmed.

  • Explore new plans from your workspace’s Subscription tab.

  • Review pricing and billing - changes take effect in your next billing cycle.

Cost optimization tips

  • Remove inactive teammates to reduce seat charges.

  • Downgrade plans carefully - The Early Stage program acts as an annual contract billed monthly, so downgrades apply after your current billing period.
