Overview

Feedback Portal is one of the center cores of Featurebase. This is where your users can submit feedback, upvote others’ posts, and comment on them.

It consists of feedback boards, a leaderboard, and features different sorting & filtering options. Everything is completely customizable, including the theme, colors, and text.

Depending on whether you have a

, your Feedback Portal will also be public to everyone or private for only your team to see.

Good to know: If you want to keep your organization public but still manage some feedback internally, you can use private boards. Posts on these boards are only visible to your organization's admins.

Feedback boards

The Feedback Portal consists of different feedback boards that you've set up. These can be 💡 Feature Requests, 🐛 Bug Reports, and 🔗 Integrations, for example.

When users submit feedback, our AI automatically assigns it to the right board. This way, everything is neatly organized in one place, ready for you to prioritize.

Sorting and filtering

Everyone can also use sorting & filters to see relevant posts for them. The public Feedback Portal features three sorting options: New, Top, and Trending.

While you can use all of the available filters, here are the ones your users can filter posts by:

  • Status

  • Board

  • Tag

  • ETA

  • Created date

of your Feedback Portal. By default, it’s set to ‘Recent posts‘.

The leaderboard

Lastly, the Feedback Portal features the 'Most helpful' Leaderboard. This shows the top contributors to your feedback community and uses gamification to incentivize users into submitting feedback.

A user’s leaderboard score is the sum of the following: posts created, comments created, and upvotes received on posted ideas.

You can click on the users to open their profiles and see their votes, posts, and comments.

You can also learn to hide the leaderboard together with users’ names and pictures:

Sharing your Feedback Portal

There are 3 different ways to integrate the Feedback Portal into your product:

  1. Add a link

    • Attach a link to a button or text on your page (navbar, footer, etc.)

    • Copy the URL of your public feedback portal (e.g. https://feedback.yourcompany.com) and paste it where desired

  2. Embed widgets
