Overview

You can decide exactly who can access your Feedback Portal and the different boards inside it:
Public boards - Anyone who has access to your Feedback Portal can see these boards
Internal team boards - Only your Featurebase team members can see and post to these boards
Segmented access boards - Only the users in your configured segments can see and post to these boards
Alternatively, you can make your entire Featurebase organization private (including the Feedback Portal). All visitors are required to log in to prevent unwanted access and competitors from spying. You can only allow access to specific user groups.
Tip: The most common setup is to have a public Feedback Portal and limit access to only specific boards with the following options 👇
Public boards

All posts made on public boards are visible to everyone who visits them. This means anyone who can find your board will see all posts on them. They will also appear in Google search results, etc.
All boards are public by default unless configured otherwise.
Internal team boards

Posts on internal boards are only visible to your Featurebase team members and help keep internal feedback away from the public.

Segmented access boards

You can also limit boards to only specific user groups that you have defined. For example, if your company has different products, you can create separate boards for them that only the users of that product see.
These boards will appear just like regular public boards for users with access. Those who don’t will not see them at all.

Other board privacy settings
Author-only boards - Make all posts on a certain board be seen only by your team and the author of the post. This can be very useful for sensitive feedback, like bug reports, etc.
Company-only boards - Make all posts on a certain board be seen only by your team and members of the post author's company. Useful for sensitive and enterprise feedback.
Read-only boards - You can disable end-user posting on a board so only the admins can create posts to that board. Users can still see, vote, and comment on posts.
Anonymize user information - Hide users’ information from each other to keep your boards public but prevent users from seeing each other’s names, etc.
No log-in actions - Allow all visitors to post, upvote, and comment without signing in first.
