Managing Customer Portal pages and navigation

Show, hide, reorder, and rename portal menu items, or add links to your own pages.

Overview

Customer Portal navigation controls the pages and links shown in your portal menu. You can put the most useful pages first, use familiar names, and add links to your website or other resources.

Choose the pages to show

Go to Settings → Customer Portal → Navigation. The page separates menu items into three groups:

  • In menu: Pages and links customers can see in the menu

  • Hidden from menu: Available pages that you have removed from the menu

  • Unavailable pages: Products or portals that need to be enabled or configured first

The built-in pages are Requests, Roadmaps, Help Center, Updates, and Tickets. Click 'Configure' beside a page to change its product settings, or 'Enable' beside an unavailable page to set up its product.

To hide a visible page, open its ••• menu and choose 'Hide from menu'. To restore a hidden page, click 'Show in menu'.

Note: Hidden pages remain reachable through direct links. Use portal access settings or Roadmap privacy controls to restrict who can open your content.

Customize the menu

Reorder or rename menu items

Drag an item by its handle to change its position, or use 'Move up' and 'Move down' in its ••• menu. The new order saves automatically.

To rename a built-in page:

  1. Open the page's ••• menu and choose 'Edit menu item'

  2. Change the name or icon

  3. Click 'Save changes'

Tip: When more than one language is configured, use the language selector in the editor to translate menu names. Localizing your Customer Portal explains which languages the editor offers.

  1. Click 'Add link'

  2. Enter the link name and the full destination URL, starting with https://

  3. Choose an icon if needed

  4. Click 'Add link' to save

Use 'Configure' beside a custom link to edit it. Custom links cannot be hidden. To remove one, open its ••• menu, choose 'Delete link', and confirm.

Check the customer experience

Open the Customer Portal and follow each menu item. Check its name, position, and destination. If you use more than one language, check the translated labels too.
