Overview

You can collect feedback on a dedicated portal, inside your product, through Support, or from connected tools. Choose the channels that fit your customers, then manage the Requests and supporting feedback in the same Workspace.

The Feedback widget is a focused submission form. The embedded portal gives customers the wider portal experience, including browsing and discussion. Both run on the Featurebase SDK and can use your existing customer identity through identification and data syncing.

Note: Integrations serve different purposes. Bringing feedback into Featurebase is a collection task; linking a Request to development work belongs to Request management. Use the provider's integration guide for the supported setup and sync behavior.

Choose your starting point

Start with the place where you already receive useful feedback. Add a portal later if your first need is to capture Requests from Support, or add a widget when customers need an easier way to report something from your product.

Check active collection channels

Open Settings → Requests → Collection to review every channel and open its settings. The All channels tab lists the Feedback Portal, the Feedback widget (shown as In-app widget), Featurebase Support, the integrations, the embedded portal, and the API. Once at least one channel is active, the page groups them into Active channels and More channels.

A channel shows Enabled when it is switched on or connected. The embedded portal and the API show Detected once Featurebase has seen activity from them; hover over the indicator to see when. Featurebase Support counts as active only while the Support module is on and Automation level is not Off.

Tip: Collection determines where feedback comes from; automation determines how Featurebase processes it. After choosing a channel, decide how much work Autopilot should handle.
