Allowing guest submissions, votes, and comments
Let visitors submit feedback, vote, or comment without signing in, and understand the limits of guest participation.

Overview
Guest actions let visitors participate in feedback without signing in. You can enable submissions, votes, and comments separately.
A guest still needs access to the portal and the relevant Request. Guest actions do not bypass Customer Portal access rules.
Choose allowed guest actions
Go to Settings → Requests → Collection → Feedback Portal → Participation
Find Guest actions
Enable the actions you want to allow
The available controls are:
'Guest submissions': Let visitors submit Requests through the Feedback Portal and Feedback widget without signing in
'Guest commenting': Let visitors comment on Requests without signing in
'Guest voting': Let visitors vote on Requests without signing in
Note: 'Guest submissions' is one setting shared with the In-app widget, so it also appears in the widget settings. If the Feedback Portal is turned off, the remaining participation settings move to the widget settings.
Use guest actions with access rules
Decide access first, then participation. A public portal can require sign-in for submitting feedback while remaining open for browsing. A restricted portal can still require authentication even when guest actions are enabled.
Tip: To conceal customer names while keeping customers identified, use Hide customer identities. This is a display setting, separate from guest participation.
