Overview
The post and comment moderation features give you an additional control step before users’ content goes live for everyone to see.
It’s handy if you want to control what’s shown to the public (e.g. some bug reports may contain sensitive info), or if you get many duplicate and low-quality posts.
When enabled, every new post and comment will automatically be Pending. Users will still see their posts, but others will see them only after an admin has approved them.
Only posts that you approve will be visible to everyone on the Public Portal.
P.S. Posts from our automatic spam detection also appear in the moderation tab.
How to enable post or comment moderation
Go to Settings → Moderation & Permissions
Check the Post or Comment Moderation checkbox
After this, a Moderation tab will appear on the left-side menu of your Dashboard.
Reviewing posts and comments
You can easily & quickly moderate unapproved requests from your Dashboard's moderation inbox:
Post & Comment Moderation Actions:
Approve: Makes the post/comment visible on your public board.
Mark as Duplicate: Merges the post with an existing one.
Delete: Removes the post/comment entirely.
Discuss Privately with Author: Keeps the post private, visible only to the author on the board.
You can also see similar post suggestions inside each post with an option to merge them.
Speed up your workflow by using keyboard arrows to move up and down the posts and numbers 1-4 to take the desired action.
Tip: If you’re using our Slack integration, you can approve new posts straight from your Slack channel!
