Overview
You can offer your Feedback Portal in multiple languages and translate Request content for customers. Language settings, your custom wording, and automatic content translation are separate parts of the setup.
Localizing your Customer Portal covers the shared portal language behavior and routes to the other product areas.
Choose feedback languages
Go to Settings → Workspace → Multilingual → Requests
Choose your 'Default language'
Select the other languages you want under 'Additional languages'
The default language is the primary language of your Feedback Portal. Additional languages become choices for customers.
To remove an additional language, deselect it from 'Additional languages' and confirm the removal.
Note: Change the default language first if you want to remove the language currently used as the default.
Translate portal and category text
Review your custom wording in each language you enable.
Portal wording
Go to Settings → Requests → Collection → Feedback Portal → Wording
Choose the 'Editing language'
Edit 'Welcome title', 'Welcome message', and 'Request button'
Click outside each changed field to save it
Category names and welcome text
Go to Settings → Requests → Management → Categories and edit a category
Select the language beside the category name and enter its translated name
Open Portal → Category welcome text to customize the heading, description, and submit button for that language
Click 'Save changes'
Tip: Use category wording only where the category needs different instructions. Creating and managing categories covers the rest of the category setup.
Configure automatic Request translation
In Settings → Workspace → Multilingual → Requests, turn on 'Automatic translation' to translate Requests into the additional language a customer chooses on your Feedback Portal. The Usage section on the same page shows translation usage when automatic translation is enabled.
Note: Automatic translation covers Request titles and content. It does not replace the custom welcome text you maintain in portal or category settings.
Use the right language in widgets
For the Feedback widget, select the language while editing its title and description. Your developer can pass the locale option when initializing the widget to choose the customer's language.
Use the locale option for the embedded Feedback Portal as well. Check the language in the embedded experience after installation, including custom wording.
