How to filter & sort feedback

The filtering and sorting function is the foundation of feedback management in Featurebase. It helps you save time and find exactly what you're looking for by excluding or including different filters.

Good to know: All the filters are kept in the URL so you can easily share your view with others. Also works on Roadmaps and Changelogs. 🔗


Filtering feedback

You can filter feedback on the Dashboard and Public view by clicking the Filters button on the top right.

The available filtering options are:

  • Status - select different statuses like Planned or Next

  • Boards - select between different boards like Bugs or Feedback

  • Assignee - see only feedback that's assigned to a specific admin

  • Tags - select between different tags you've created, like High Priority, etc.

  • Segment - view only the feedback that users in a specific segment have created or upvoted.

  • ETA - see only feedback that's planned before/after a certain date

  • Created date - see feedback from a specific time period

  • Custom field - sort feedback by different custom fields that you’ve created (doesn’t include text fields)

  • Author - see all posts by a specific user

  • Company - see all posts by a specific company (requires syncing user data)

  • Stale - see posts that admins haven’t commented on or updated in over 4 weeks

  • Author only - see posts that are set to author-only

Combine those filters to find exactly what you're looking for. You can also operators such as is or is not between different filters.

The Segment, Author, and Company filters are included starting from our Business Plan.

Pro tip: You can save filter combinations as Views to use them conveniently again when needed.


Different sorting options

You can sort feedback on the Dashboard and Public view by clicking the Sorting button on the top right.

The different sorting options are:

  • Top upvoted posts - Displays posts with the most total upvotes first

  • Recent posts - Shows the newest posts at the top

  • Trending posts - Highlights posts with the most engagement recently (based on a smart algorithm)

  • Upvoter MRR - Ranks posts based on the total MRR of users who upvoted

  • Pending posts - Shows posts that are awaiting moderation. (Only visible if Post Moderation is enabled)

  • Due date - Lists posts by their upcoming ETA or deadline.

  • Custom date fields - Any custom field you’ve created with a date type will also appear here, letting you sort by the soonest dates set in those fields.

Good to know: You can change the default sorting of your Public Portal from Settings
