Sharing your Roadmap

Share a Roadmap through your Customer Portal or embed it in your product.

Overview

Share a Roadmap link so customers can see your plans, or embed the Roadmap inside your product. The Roadmap's audience and Request visibility rules apply to the shared view.

Share a Roadmap link

  1. Open your Feedback Portal

  2. Open Roadmaps and select the Roadmap you want to share

  3. Copy its URL from the browser

  4. Test the link as an intended customer before sending it

Share this customer-facing URL, which starts with /roadmap on your portal domain. The dashboard Roadmap view in Requests & Insights → Roadmaps is for your team, and its URL does not work as a customer link.

If you use a custom portal domain, copy the link from that domain.

Add Roadmaps to your portal navigation

Make Roadmaps easy to find through Customer Portal pages and navigation. You can control which pages appear and how they are labeled.

Note: A navigation link does not grant access to restricted content. The Roadmap's privacy controls still decide who can open it.

Embed a Roadmap in your product

Embed the Roadmap with the embedded Feedback Portal and choose its Roadmap page as the starting view.

Identify signed-in customers through user identification and data syncing so Featurebase can apply the correct customer access.

Tip: Check the embedded view with the same customer identity that will use it in your product.

FAQs

Only when the Roadmap audience or your portal requires it. Everyone means anyone who can access your portal. Segment-restricted Roadmaps require the customer to sign in or be identified first.

Check these settings in order:

  1. Feedback Portal - Confirm the Feedback Portal is enabled. Roadmap pages are unavailable when it is off

  2. Roadmap audience - Check the Roadmap's privacy controls and confirm the customer is in its Visible by audience

  3. Customer identity - For a segment-restricted Roadmap, confirm the customer is signed in or identified in your embedded view

  4. Request visibility - If the Roadmap opens but looks empty, check category access and Request visibility for the Requests inside it
