Overview
Post-merging lets you combine similar or duplicate posts into one, helping to declutter your Dashboard and avoid confusion.
Merging a post brings over all comments and votes into the parent post.
Old (merged) posts can be found in the Activity section of the parent post.
No user notifications are sent when posts are merged.
We show you similar posts under each submission, making it easier to see if there are existing posts on the same topic that can be merged.
Our AI also suggests potential duplicate ideas to users during post creation, in real-time, to help prevent similar posts from being created (encouraging them to upvote the existing one instead).
Good to know: If Post Moderation is enabled, you can also merge posts there.
How to merge posts
1. Bulk selecting posts

To merge one or many similar posts into one in the Dashboard:
Check the post(s) you want to merge into another
Right-click and select Merge into
Search for the parent post you wish to merge the selected post into and click on it
Confirm the merge
Tip: Quickly merge multiple posts into one simultaneously by selecting them on your dashboard and right-clicking.
2. AI duplicate posts finder

Let AI automatically find all duplicate posts for you and merge them with 1 click:
Click on the ‘AI tools’' button in the left side menu
Select ‘Deduplicate Posts’
Click on Merge selected posts next to the duplicate posts you want to merge
This feature is available starting from the Business plan.
2. Opening posts individually

You can also merge posts individually by opening them:
Open one of the posts
Click on the merge icon in the upper right corner
Select if you want to:
Merge others to this - merge another post into the one you're currently viewing
Merge to existing - merge the current post into another post you choose
Search for the post you wish to perform the merge with and click on it
