Managing search engine visibility

Choose which public portal surfaces search engines can index.

Overview

Search engine visibility settings let you ask search engines not to index your Feedback Portal, Roadmaps, Updates, or Help Center. Use them when customers should reach public content through your own links instead of search results. These settings do not restrict who can open a page.

Change search engine indexing

  1. Go to Settings → Customer Portal → Access

  2. Open Configure search engine indexing under Search engine indexing

  3. Turn on the switch for each surface you want to exclude

The available switches are:

  • Disable for Feedback Portal

  • Disable for Updates

  • Disable for Help Center

  • Disable for Roadmaps

The excluded pages tell search engines not to index them. Turn a switch off to allow indexing again. Changes save automatically.

Note: The Search engine indexing section is shown only while your portal is public. A private portal already requires permitted access.
