AI replies

AI replies and macros are the most powerful communication features in Featurebase. They save time for your team and make it easy to give closure to feedback submitters.

Just open a post and press CMD+K on Mac (CTRL+K on Windows) or the lightning icon to quickly reply to feedback, respond to comments, and even update the status automatically.

Here are some cool things about AI replies:

  • Smart status updates – If your reply mentions an action (e.g., fixing a bug or planning a feature), AI will automatically suggest a status change. You can always send a reply without the status update.

  • Personalized messages – It personalizes the message using the name of the user. If there are multiple upvoters or commenters, it will say ‘Everyone’.

Tip: You can complete the whole workflow with only keyboard, as seen in the video above:

Macros

Macros are templates that reduce the time your team spends answering repetitive questions. This frees them up to focus on their strengths: solving problems. In addition to the message, you can include the default status change.

To use macros open any post or comment and press CMD+K on Mac or CTRL+K on Windows. Alternatively, you can click the ⚡ icon on the bottom left of the comment box.

Creating, editing, and deleting macros

To create new macros:

  1. Go to Settings → Feedback → Macros

  2. Click on New macro in the top right

  3. Enter the name and content

  4. Select the status update that is included with the macro

  5. Click on Create in the bottom right

You can edit and delete Macros from the same place.
