Overview
Subscribing users to your changelog enables you to send them email notifications about new releases. This is one of the most effective ways to keep users informed and close the feedback loop.
Featurebase automatically subscribes all your end-users to your changelog if you have their email addresses. This includes users you’ve synced to Featurebase, who interact with your feedback portal, or who contact you through support chat.
Users can also subscribe to your changelog themselves by clicking the 'Subscribe to Changelog' or RSS feed button at the top left of your live changelog.

Email subscription settings

By default, Featurebase automatically subscribes all end-users to changelog emails if you have their email address, including those who interact with your portal or contact you through support chat. However, you can fully control this behavior if needed:
Go to Settings → Changelog
Find Email subscription settings
Adjust the following options:
Auto-subscribe users – Disable this if you want to manually control who receives changelog emails
Disable email notifications entirely – Turn this off if you never want changelog emails to be sent and prefer to share updates only via the changelog page or in-app widgets.
You can also configure individual customers’ notification preferences under their profiles.
Note: We strongly recommend keeping email notifications enabled. Email ensures your updates reach users who may not actively visit your changelog or see in-app messages, helping you consistently close the feedback loop.
Importing changelog subscribers manually (via CSV or email list)

To import subscribers to the changelog manually:
Go to Dashboard → Changelog
Click on 'Manage subscribers' in the top right
Click on 'Import subscribers' and choose ‘Manually import subscribers’
Choose whether you want to import users via CSV file or enter the emails yourself
Click Import subscribers
The CSV file needs to include a column with the users emails with the first line being the title of the column ‘Email’.
