Overview

You can collect feedback on a dedicated portal, inside your product, through Support, from recorded customer calls, or from connected tools. Choose the channels that fit your customers, then manage the Requests and supporting feedback in the same Workspace.

The Feedback widget is a focused submission form. The embedded portal gives customers the wider portal experience, including browsing and discussion. Both run on the Featurebase SDK and can use your existing customer identity through identification and data syncing.

Note: Integrations serve different purposes. Bringing feedback into Featurebase is a collection task; linking a Request to development work belongs to Request management. Use the provider's integration guide for the supported setup and sync behavior.

Choose your starting point

Start with the place where you already receive useful feedback. Add a portal later if your first need is to capture Requests from Support, or add a widget when customers need an easier way to report something from your product.

Check active collection channels

  1. Go to Settings → Requests → Collection and open All channels

  2. Check which channels are enabled or have recent activity

  3. Open a channel to configure it or resolve a connection issue

When channels are grouped, Active channels shows the sources already in use and More channels shows other ways to collect feedback. The status tells you what to check:

  • Enabled - The channel is switched on or connected

  • Detected - Featurebase has received activity from the embedded portal or API. Hover over the indicator to see when

  • Paused - A connected call recorder is paused

  • Reconnection required - Reconnect the call recorder with a valid key

After choosing your sources, set up AI Autopilot to choose how incoming feedback is processed.

FAQs

Yes. Use the channels that fit your customers. Their Requests and supporting feedback arrive in the same Workspace.

It confirms that Featurebase has seen activity from the embedded portal or API. It does not confirm that all earlier feedback has been imported.

Automatic Support collection requires the Support module to be on and Automation level to be Assisted or Automatic. You can still capture a need from a conversation manually.

Call recorder options appear when they are available for your Workspace and you have permission to manage integrations.
