Featurebase lets you use automatic AI translations across your workspace starting from the Professional plan. Each month includes 250,000 free characters, and you only pay for usage beyond that limit.
This pricing applies to all automatic AI translations in Featurebase, including:
All translation usage is counted together and billed at the same rate.
Short example: Translating around 100,000 English words in a single month would cost approximately $14.00.
Actual costs may vary slightly by word length, as billing is based on characters.
AI translations pricing breakdown
AI translations are billed based on usage:
Free: 250,000 characters per month (~50,000 English words)
$0.04 per additional 1,000 characters (~200 English words)
Each workspace’s free character allowance resets at the start of every billing month.
Usage example
In one month, your workspace has used automatic AI translations as follows:
180,000 characters from Help Center articles
40,000 characters from support messages
90,000 characters from feedback posts
Total usage: 310,000 characters
First 250,000 characters: Free
Remaining 60,000 characters: 60 × $0.04 = $2.40
Your total AI translation cost for that month would be $2.40.
How we bill
AI translations are billed based on your actual usage. We calculate usage continuously, but charges are finalized monthly (no matter your billing period).
At the end of each month, you are charged for the number of AI translated characters during that month.
Note: If your AI translation charges exceed $100 within a single month, we automatically charge that amount as soon as the threshold is crossed. Any remaining usage is charged at the end of the month.
