What is a Roadmap?
A roadmap is an effective tool to visualize your product's progress and to communicate it both externally and internally.
It provides a quick overview of the work that has been completed and what's ahead.
How it works
There are three primary views for your roadmap: Status, Quarterly, and Monthly.
The status view
The status view helps visualize tasks based on their statuses, offering users a snapshot of ongoing work, completed tasks, and upcoming projects.
When a post status is changed, the post will automatically be moved to its corresponding status column on the roadmap.
You can also simply drag & drop posts on the roadmap to change their statuses:
Quarterly & monthly views
These views are time-based, offering users an understanding of when specific tasks are due.
You can add or change the time of each post by opening it and editing the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) field on the right-hand side.
Filtering and sorting
Just like feedback boards, roadmaps can be sorted by different options such as 'Top upvoted posts' or 'Trending posts'.
You can also add various filters to view specific boards or user segments, etc.
Setting it up
You can customize your roadmap to suit your requirements by visiting:
Dashboard β Settings β Roadmap. Or just click here π
Here, you can choose which statuses are displayed, exclude irrelevant boards from the roadmap, or even hide the roadmap from your public feedback board entirely.
Adding it to your app
You can integrate the roadmap into your app in 3 different ways:
1. Add a link
The easiest way to add a roadmap is by attaching its link to a button or text on your page. This could be anywhere, from the navbar to the footer.
Just copy the URL of your live roadmap from your feedback portal and paste it where you'd like it on your page.
2. Embed through a widget
The second way is to use our super handy widget in your app or site. This is great because it means users don't need to leave your app to give feedback.
Plus, you can make it match your design perfectly. You can play around with it from our demo page.

By the way, you can automatically log in users with SSO for a seamless experience.
3. Embed roadmap through IFrame
Instead of having your roadmap on a different page, you can put it right inside your own app.
This lets you have the whole roadmap in its original form right on your site, so users can give and see feedback there.
