Overview

The Featurebase ClickUp integration enables you to turn new feedback from Featurebase into actionable ClickUp tasks. You can sync the statuses between the two and automatically update users about the development of their ideas.

Key features:

  • Sync the statuses between Featurebase posts and ClickUp tasks

  • Manually push Featurebase posts to ClickUp and vice versa

  • Link Featurebase posts to existing ClickUp tasks

  • Keep users automatically updated about their request’s status

Example: New feedback from Featurebase automatically gets pushed to ClickUp for your team. After they complete the feature and change the task status in ClickUp (e.g. Planned → Completed), it will automatically update the post in Featurebase, and all upvoted users will be notified by email.


Setting up the ClickUp integration

1. Install the ClickUp integration

  1. In Featurebase, go to Settings → Integrations

  2. Click on Connect to ClickUp

  3. Choose the desired ClickUp workspace and click on Connect Workspace

  4. Once connected, click on the Configure ClickUp button

2. Create sync rules & configure integration

If you've done the previous steps correctly, you should now see additional settings for the ClickUp integration:

  1. To automatically push new posts to ClickUp, check the automatic push feature

  2. Choose the Clickup Space, Folder, or List that the feedback should be pushed into

  3. You can limit from which Featurebase board(s) the posts will be sent to ClickUp (e.g. only send posts from 💡 Feature requests to ClickUp)

  4. To start setting up rules, click New Task Rule in the bottom right

  5. Select the matching statuses, sync direction, and whether you want to notify users about that status change

    Tip: We recommend creating rules for each status so that linked posts are always in sync.

And that's it! Linked posts should sync perfectly from now on.


How to use

1. Manually push Featurebase posts to ClickUp

To manually push a post from Featurebase to ClickUp as tasks:

  1. In Featurebase, simply open up the post

  2. Click the ClickUp icon on the top right

  3. Select ‘Create New Task

You can quickly see the new issue by pressing the newly appeared ClickUp bar below the post content.

2. Link Featurebase posts to existing ClickUp tasks

Linking Featurebase posts to existing ClickUp tasks is essentially the same:

  1. In Featurebase, simply open up the post

  2. Click the ClickUp icon on the top right

  3. Select ‘Link to existing task

You can unlink the issue by clicking x on the newly appeared ClickUp bar below the post content.
