A custom domain lets you serve the help center using your own domain, offering a seamless experience and consistent brand identity for customers.

It can also help your board appear more trustworthy and professional and positively impact your SEO score.

This feature is available only on Paid plans

Setting up a custom domain for the Help Center

1. Configure your custom domain in Featurebase

  1. Go to Settings → Custom Domains → Help Center

  2. Enter your preferred custom domain in the first field (e.g. help.yourcompany.com)

  3. Click Save

2. Configure your DNS records

  1. Go to your DNS provider's portal (e.g. Cloudflare, OpenDNS, Quad9, etc)

  2. Create a new CNAME record:

    • For the 'Name' field, use your chosen subdomain name. You can copy it directly from the 'Name' field in Featurebase.

    • In the 'Content' field, input 'customdomains.featurebase.app'. Ensure the address is exactly the same as stated here to ensure correct routing.

3. Confirm your changes & finalize the setup

  1. Wait approximately 10 minutes for DNS changes to propagate.

  2. Check the SSL Certificate Status in Featurebase. Once it displays Active in green, your feedback board will be accessible via the new custom subdomain.
