Overview
You can decide exactly who can view your Changelog and the different releases. There are multiple methods to do so:
Have a public Changelog and
segment individual releases by choosing who receives the changelog with each release
use restricted categories by limiting certain categories to specific groups for repeated user
Restricted Changelog: All visitors are required to log in to prevent unwanted access and competitors from spying. You can only allow access to specific user groups.
The most common setup is to have a public changelog and select the target segment with each release (the first method.)
Creating segmented releases

You can have a public changelog but create separate changelog releases for different user groups, such as paying customers and premium plan users.
To send a changelog to a specific user segment:
Click on ‘Everyone’ on the right-hand side while creating a changelog
Choose your desired segment(s) from the list
You can also change the target segment later on existing releases to restrict certain customer groups from seeing them on your public changelog page.
This requires that you’ve synced customer data and created user segments.
Creating restricted Changelog categories
You can also segment releases using the Changelog categories:
Go to Settings → Changelog
Create a new category or edit an existing one
Under the ‘Only show category to’ section, select the customer segment(s) you wish to give access to
Now, only users in that segment can see updates labeled with that category.
This requires that you’ve synced customer data and created user segments.
Changelog visitor authentication

To avoid competitors’ spying and unwanted attention, you can make your entire Featurebase Portal (including the Changelog) require visitors to log in. This is done via a private organization.
When users come from your app, the authentication is automatic, so the user experience will not be impacted. Otherwise, they'll be redirected to a regular login page. Once logged in, you can decide who gets access.
For example, you can:
Give access only to your company’s employees for a fully internal Changelog
Give access only to paying customers
The options are endless because you have full control.

Note: This also limits access to all the other parts of Featurebase to only authenticated users, including the Feedback Forum, Roadmap, and Help Center.
