Overview
The Manage redirects feature lets you create and control 301 redirects. This ensures your content keeps its SEO value and that visitors are automatically redirected to the correct article or collection.
You can:
Set up redirects when importing content from another Help Center
Manually add, edit, or delete redirects
Redirect to articles or collections
Create multiple redirects pointing to the same article
Redirects use 301 – Moved Permanently, meaning old URLs automatically forward to the new location within the same Help Center domain.
This feature is great for when you need to change the URL of an article that is hyperlinked to many other articles in your Help Center. Instead of editing each article, you can simply set up a redirect.
Add a redirect

To add redirects for each Help Center:
Open Domains and click ‘Redirect rules’
Click + Add rule
Enter the old URL path you want to redirect from
Choose the redirect type (Article or Collection)
Select the published article or collection you want to redirect to
Save your changes
The redirect will now forward visitors from the old path to the selected content.

Manage existing redirects

To edit or delete redirects:
Open Domains and click ‘Redirect rules’
Click the Redirect rule you want to edit
Here, you can delete or edit existing redirects from this view. If you delete the Redirected to article, the redirect will be automatically removed from your list of domain redirects.
NB! If you want to redirect an existing Help Center article, unpublish the original article or collection first.
Important limitations
Redirects only work within the same workspace
Cross-workspace redirects are not supported
The system blocks redirects between different workspace IDs
If you imported articles using the Help Center migration tool, redirects are automatically created during the import. You can edit or delete those redirects afterward.
You can also use redirects outside of migrations, for example to create friendly URLs for customers. For example:
Redirect
https://example.com/accountTo
https://example.com/en/articles/6572296-locating-your-account-number
