Author-only posts are private and visible only to admins and the post authors themselves on the board. They are an intuitive way to restrict the visibility of sensitive information, such as bug reports.
You can manually toggle posts to be author-only or create author-only boards, where all posts are private between admins and authors by default.
To turn a post into author-only:
Open the post
Click the eye icon on the top right corner
You can toggle it off by clicking the icon again.
P.S. You can also make posts author-only from the Moderation tab if you have Post Moderation enabled.
Also good to know: if a post is made by admins and marked as “author-only“ it shows as “Admins only” instead to make sense, but it’s the same thing:
