Role-based changelog access

Create targeted changelog releases using role-based changelog categories.

If your company has multiple different products that are not relevant to each other, you can create separate changelog releases for them. This way, your users will only see updates that are relevant to them.

This can be done via the user roles feature, which is available on our Enterprise plan.


Setting up role-based changelog categories requires that you’ve created user roles. After you’ve created user roles:

  1. Go to Settings → Changelog

  2. Edit the category you wish to make role-based

  3. Under ‘Only give access to the selected roles’ click on the role you just created

  4. Click on Change Category

Now, only users with that role can see updates about that category.
