Overview

You can create separate changelog releases for different user groups, such as paying customers and premium plan users.

Using segmented changelogs can be useful for large, sophisticated companies and products, ensuring users will only get updates relevant to them. You can also use this feature to update your different plan customers only about their current plan changes, etc.

This requires that you’ve synced customer data and created user segments.


Segmenting a changelog

To send a changelog to a specific user segment:

  1. Click on ‘Everyone’ on the right-hand side while creating a changelog

  2. Choose your desired segment(s) from the list

You can also change the target segment later on existing releases to restrict certain customer groups from seeing them on your public changelog page.


Creating a segment

To create a new segment, choose “Create a new segment” from the Targeted users dropdown.
